December 08 2024 – Kaykeel Dillard
I took a trip to The Mall at Millenia in Florida. Considering its location and the types of stores it has, I was surprised that it wasn’t bigger. Still, it’s a beautiful mall, bustling with people—especially couples. It features top name-brand stores, and there’s constant security at nearly every door. The atmosphere felt upscale; people were dressed to impress, and it was clear many were spending well over $1,000 at a time.
I couldn’t help but feel a bit out of place. I barely entered any stores, was dressed casually with no jewelry, and had a dirty, broken Wonderful Wagon with me. At one point, I did find myself wishing I had a man to take me shopping!
My first stop was the concierge, where I picked up a gift card that the resort had signed me up for. I was pleasantly surprised to find out I could also choose two free gifts. One option directed me to the food court, while the other offered a choice between 10% off at a store or a tiny sample gift. I decided to get cookies for the boys at the food court and visited a makeup store for my free gift, which turned out to be a face mask.
With the $100 gift card, I decided to buy a pair of shoes that could double as shower shoes for travel, especially for truck stops and beach trips. I also picked up a white onesie for myself. I won’t mention the stores here since I’m not partnered with them, but feel free to message me if you’re curious—I’m happy to share! I haven’t had the chance to wear the onesie yet (thanks to shark week), but I’m excited to try it soon.
To wrap up the day, the boys and I visited the food court and grabbed food from three different restaurants, which we enjoyed over the course of the day. And that was our experience at The Mall at Millenia!
